Using MiniToc

A FrameMaker plugin that generates one or more structured “mini TOC” lists in the current file or all files in the current book.

This plugin supports FrameMaker versions 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. It was developed as a publishing plugin for DITA-FMx, but can be used as a stand-alone tool or called from other types of automation (FrameScript, ExtendScript, or FDK client).

Use MiniToc to create lists of links (cross-references) within structured documents that target predefined objects within that document. This plugin would typically be used as a part of a publishing workflow for adding links to structured documents before printing or saving to PDF.

Note: We use the term “TOC” in this documentation as one type of generated list that can be created. This plugin is not limited to TOC links, but can be used to generate links (cross-references) of any type.

This plugin relies on the proper configuration of a minitoc.ini file to define the generation of the lists, see Configuring the INI file.
