Uninstalling MarkerTools

There is no Uninstall application provided for MarkerTools. Because there are only few files installed, it’s easiest to just perform this uninstallation manually.

To remove MarkerTools from your FrameMaker installation

  1. Locate the “Pubs-Tools:MarkerTools” entry in the APIClients section of your maker.ini (or fmsgml.ini) file in the main FrameMaker folder.
  2. Delete this line from the INI file, then save and close that file.
  3. Delete the MarkerTools.* files from the Pubs-Tools folder located in the main FrameMaker folder (and your “AppData” folder if using Windows Vista or 7).
Note: If you just want to temporarily disable MarkerTools, you can comment out the “PubsTools:MarkerTools” entry in the maker.ini file by adding a semicolon at the beginning of that line.
